Privacy
Here is how personal data is used on the website and in Widara.

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
Who is responsible for the data?
For the information a school entrusts to Widara, the school determines the purposes of the processing. Widara processes this data to provide the service to the school. The publisher of Widara is responsible for the data needed to manage accounts, the business relationship and the operation of the platform. Its identity and contact details are given in the legal notice.
Why do we use data?
The data entrusted to Widara lets the people authorized by the school use the service. Contact details and account information are used to manage access, answer requests and follow up on the subscription. Some technical data is used to protect Widara and improve how it works.
Depending on the case, these uses rely on providing the service, complying with legal obligations or the publisher’s legitimate interest. The school defines the legal bases for the data it enters for its own activities.
Who can access it?
The school’s data is accessible to its authorized users. People authorized by Widara and service providers needed to run the service may also access it, within the limits of their tasks. Some processing may take place outside the European Economic Area.
Booking a demo opens an external scheduling service; the information you enter there is also subject to that service’s own privacy policy.
How long?
The retention period depends on the purpose of the data, the relationship with the school and the applicable obligations. Some items deleted in Widara go to a trash that is scheduled to be emptied after 90 days. This period does not apply to all data, nor to any backups. You can ask for the retention criteria of a specific category at the address below.
Your rights
Depending on your situation, you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your data, object to some processing or ask for data portability. Write to contact@artefactslontan.com. If your request concerns information entrusted by a school, tell us which one so that it can be passed on. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
